Tiernan Shoudy signs first pro contract with Penguins organization

Michigan State saw their season come to a crushing end with an overtime loss to Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament, where the Spartans fell just short of a Frozen Four appearance. Now, in the days following, the roster has been poached by professional teams.

Obviously, professional development is outstanding for the program, and it is awesome to see Spartans get their chance at the next level, especially seniors.
One senior that just inked his first professional contract is Tiernan Shoudy, who has signed with the Wheeling Nailers for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Playing in 150 games in his MSU career, Shoudy scored 25 goals and added 40 assists in his career. He is a native of St. Clair, Michigan.
