Colorado football offers four-star 2027 DT Tyler Alexander
· Yahoo Sports
The Colorado Buffaloes struggled to bring down opposing quarterbacks last season, a part of the recipe that led to a 3-9 season, and one the coaching staff is working to ensure doesn't happen again.
Half of that effort starts in the transfer portal, while the other half focuses on bringing in guys like 2027 four-star defensive lineman Tyler Alexander, whom the Buffs offered on Thursday. Hailing from Palm Beach Central High School, Alexander is one of the most sought-after linemen in the state of Florida with offers from some of the top programs in the nation, like Georgia and Texas.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pound lineman already carries the size of a starting defensive tackle as a junior in high school and has been a highlight of recent high school camps.

Even at his size, Alexander is far from unathletic and uses a burst off the line of scrimmage to put his hands into opposing offensive linemen's pads and drive them back. Alexander has also shown to break out a raw swim move, which can catch linemen off guard and put them off balance.
He's been heavily recruited by the Florida Gators this offseason and recently told reporter Tyler Harden of 247Sports that the Gators would be in his top five, if he had one. With all the teams chasing Alexander, it will be tough for the Buffs to break into the mold without some big swings.
