Ravens to host draft prospect connected to a new coaching assistant
· Yahoo Sports
The Baltimore Ravens continue to work the margins as the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, and their latest reported visit carries an interesting layer of familiarity. Former Navy defensive tackle Landon Robinson is scheduled for a top-30 predraft visit with Baltimore, according to Arye Pulli. What makes this one stand out isn't just the player. It's the connection. New Ravens safeties coach P.J. Volker served as Robinson's defensive coordinator during their time together with the Navy Midshipmen.

Volker's familiarity with Robinson gives Baltimore an unusually detailed look into both the prospect's on-field ability and off-field makeup. In a process where teams are constantly searching for any extra edge in evaluation, that level of familiarity can carry real weight. Robinson may not be the most talked-about name in this draft class, but his production tells a compelling story. Over the past three seasons, he consistently disrupted opposing offenses, showcasing a quick first step, strong hands, and a relentless motor.
His senior campaign was particularly impressive, as he posted career highs in sacks and tackles for loss while earning conference defensive honors. He's a two-time First-team All-AAC honoree (2024, 2025). He was also named the American Defensive Player of the Year en route to a First-Team All-American nod. Physically, he doesn't fit the prototype that many teams look for along the interior defensive line. He stands at 5-foot-11. He weighs 297 pounds. Robinson is considered undersized for the position, which likely contributed to him flying under the radar during much of the predraft cycle.
What he lacks in height, however, he makes up for with explosiveness and leverage. Those are traits that often translate well when paired with the right system. That's where Baltimore becomes an intriguing fit. The Ravens have never been afraid to invest in players who don't check every traditional box, especially if they bring effort, toughness, and versatility. Robinson's background, combined with his relationship with Volker, could make him a strong Day 3 target, particularly for a team looking to add depth and energy to its defensive front.
