Marriott unveils new baseball-themed stadium-view hotel suite at Rogers Centre

· Toronto Sun

With the Blue Jays set to play their first game of the 2026 season on Friday, the Rogers Centre’s Marriott hotel has unveiled a new stadium-view room in collaboration with Rawlings for the ultimate baseball fan experience.

While many Blue Jays fans may already be aware of the famous suites overlooking the field at the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel, the chain has renovated one of them to include a “clubhouse-inspired” room decorated with unique baseball-themed items and Rawlings baseball gear.

Named The Rawlings Room, guests enter the field-view, split-level suite through a hallway lined with Rawlings bats from wall to ceiling, leading to a red bedroom designed to bring the energy of a clubhouse.

Unusual custom features

“Closets have been transformed into player-style lockers, complete with bats, batting gloves, fielding gloves, helmets and photos,” the hotel said in a news release.

Around the king-size bed are a headboard and side tables made to “resemble a classic wooden dugout bench” and “dugout-style storage.”

In the second level, the focal point of the living room and viewing area is a wall mural made entirely of Rawlings baseballs that spell out “1977” — a nod to the Jays’ inaugural season.

The room is also furnished with an oversized baseball glove chair, a sofa bed and leather accent chairs.

Like the standard stadium-view rooms with a king-size bed, the suite can accommodate up to eight guests, while sleeping four.

Perhaps worth the upgrade for a baseball fanatic is the Gold Glove Trophy that will be displayed in the room for fan photos.

Hotel offering a ‘draft’ upgrade

Marriott is promoting the newly designed suite with a limited-time “draft” upgrade.

The hotel said guests who make a reservation under “Larger Guest Room, Baseball Stadium View, 1 King” from Saturday to the end of April and complete the upgrade request form online will be eligible to enter a draw to stay at the Rawlings Room.

“After that, room will be available for booking at TheRawlingsRoom.com or torontomarriott.com ,” the hotel said.

Though the news release didn’t mention how much the room would cost, as of Thursday afternoon, the price for a one-night stay in a stadium-view room with a king-size bed on Friday’s opening day is listed on Marriott’s website for $554.
