Venues are notorious for prioritizing men’s sports over women’s sports, often ignoring women’s sports altogether while airing games.

Luckily, several bars in New York City are changing that bias and celebrating women in athletics, with three bars dedicated to showing women’s sports opening in the city since last year.
Here’s where to gather to watch the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four and NCAA Women’s Championship this March (and April, technically).
Rounders
Back after a temporary closure due to fire, Rounders will be playing the women’s games on their indoor TVs in Greenpoint. An outdoor screen also streams NCAA games. A small menu of burgers and fried bites can keep guests satiated between games.
Wilka’s Sports Bar
Next to the newly reopened New Museum, Wilka’s will be showing all NCAA women’s games, Fridays through Mondays, plus a slew of additional women’s sports. Swing by for $5 house lager during happy hour on weekdays from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., plus non alcoholic drinks, sandwiches, and more. WiFi is available during daytime games for those who want to work from women’s sports bar.
Blazers Sports Bar
In Williamsburg, Blazers is the spot to catch the women’s games. There’s draft beer, cocktails, an Arnold Palmer on tap and more, plus a full kitchen. Happy hour on weekdays from 5 - 7 p.m. offers $25 for a beer, burger or wings, and fries.
Athena Keke’s
Fort Greene’s women’s sports bar is of course a hub for all women’s sports including March Madness. Visit for cafe-style fare, including a popular weekend brunch and seasonal specials like a Spring panzanella salade with grilled asparagus, radicchio and ajo blanco.
Bronx Brewery at Hudson Yards
Part of the Togethxr network, Bronx Brewery champions women’s sport with their No Crying in Beer is citrus lager, and much more. Women’s games will be on the TVs here, and a full menu of shareables like nachos, plus tacos, salads, tortas and more keeps you fueled through all the games. Leashed pets are allowed.
