Bengals are reportedly interested in linebacker Devin Lloyd

It is no secret that one of the biggest issues defensively for the Cincinnati Bengals last season was the linebacker position.
So it isn’t all that surprising that they may show interest in one of the top free agents at the position, Jacksonville Jaguars’ Devin Lloyd, according to Packers reporter Easton Butler.

Lloyd was one of the top-rated players by Pro Football Focus last season. His 89.1 grade was third among linebackers. One spot he shined was his coverage grade of 81.1, which was also third among linebackers. He allowed a passer rating of only 69.2 (second best among linebackers)
One area of possible concern is a familiar one for Bengals’ fans. His 12 missed tackles in only 15 games were 45th out of 88 linebackers.
The team also drafted two linebackers last season, but neither inspired enough confidence that they should be penciled in as starters, especially without competition.
This would be one of the first times in recent memory that the Bengals would go out and spend top dollar on one of the top free agents. It would be a welcome change after sitting on their hands last year after extending Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. It led to a fairly predictable result of another terrible defensive year.
Would you welcome a move like this from Cincinnati?
