Following questionable comments from Donald Trump during the men’s team gold medal celebration, the women’s team declined to attend the President’s invitation to his State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Flavor Flag extended an invitation to the U.S. women’s hockey team to celebrate their success in Las Vegas. He shared a message on social media on Monday.

“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite, I’ll host them in Las Vegas,” the post read. “Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”

The post went viral, garnering nearly 2 million views and 120,000 likes in under 24 hours. The Daily Beast reported that multiple brands, including StubHub, Alaska Air, Resorts World Las Vegas, Ramsay’s Kitchen, Beis, and the Palms Casino Resort offered their services.

During a phone call with FBI Director Kash Patel, Donald Trump praised the U.S. men’s hockey team for their dramatic win over Canada. At some point, he offered to send a military airplane to pick up the players and take them to Miami, before they headed to Washington for the State of the Union address.

Additionally, Trump joked about getting impeached if he didn’t invite the women’s hockey team.

“I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that.”

“I think if I didn’t do that, I do believe I probably would be impeached,” he said, while multiple players laughed in the back.

The comments didn’t sit well with many. The team declined to attend the event, but a new opportunity has now arisen.
